EAC Gives out its Four Annual Awards

The Ecology Action Centre has been giving out awards at its Annual General Meeting since the late 1970s. The Sunshine Award was established to recognize the efforts of an individual or group to protect Nova Scotia’s environment. Municipalities Leading the Way

Halifax - On Thursday, November 7th during their Fall Conference, the Union of Nova Scotia Municipalities (UNSM) passed a resolution asking the province to create a Nova Scotia Coastal Zone Act. Furthermore, the municipalities also passed a resolution calling for an extended moratorium on fracking pending a comprehensive review of the controversial practice.
